Materials Engineering

一、培养目标

. Educational Objectives

本专业培养具有良好职业道德和科学素质,德、智、体、美全面发展,掌握无机非金属材料工程专业的基础知识、基本理论和基本技能适应行业发展和地方经济建设需要,具有较强工程实践能力,能够在无机非金属材料领域从事生产、产品开发、工艺及设备设计、技术改造、工程应用、经营管理、产品营销及服务等方面工作的高素质应用型人才。

The aim of this specialty is to cultivate application-oriented high-level talents who will be well developed at morally, intellectually, physically, and aesthetically with a good professional ethics and scientific literacy. Students of the specialty will grasp the basic engineering knowledge theories, skills of inorganic non-metallic materials to adapt to the development of the industry and the needs of local economic construction. They will become men with stronger practical working ability so that they will be qualified for various jobs such as materials production, product research and development, producing process and equipment design, technological innovation, engineering application, operating management, production sale and service, and the other related work in the fields of inorganic non-metallic materials.

二、培养要求

. Training Requirements

1. 本专业毕业生应具有如下知识、能力和素质:

1)具备良好的政治素质、身心素质、人文素养与职业道德,以及强烈的社会责任感;

2掌握从事本专业所需的数学、物理、化学等自然科学基础知识,以及企业经营管理和市场营销等基本知识,具备从事本专业必需的机械、电工电子技术、计算机应用等方面的基本知识和技能;

3)掌握材料科学的基本理论和基本知识,掌握无机非金属材料组成、结构、性能及生产工艺间的关系,具备从事无机非金属材料工程领域工作所需的基础理论、基本知识和基本技能;

4)具备正确地制图、识图基本能力,以及计算机应用和专业实验仪器设备使用的基本能力。了解环境保护和可持续发展方面的政策法规;

5)具有在无机非金属材料领域从事生产、设计、研制、开发、管理、营销及服务的初步能力,了解无机非金属材料领域的有关技术标准规范;

6)具有综合运用无机非金属材料工程领域的科学理论和技术手段分析并解决工程实际问题的初步能力,并能在工程设计中考虑社会安全、法律、文化及环境等制约因素;

7)具有创新意识及对无机非金属材料新产品、新工艺、新技术进行研发和设计的初步能力;

8)具备良好的口头和书面表达能力、沟通能力,能够熟练掌握一门外语进行沟通和交流;

9具有良好的团队意识、合作精神和一定的组织管理能力,以及较强的环境适应和竞争能力。

The graduates of this specialty are expected to acquire the following knowledge, abilities and qualities:

(1) Having good political quality, physical and mental qualities, well-developed humanistic qualities, professional ethics, and a strong social responsibility.

(2) Mastering the basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry in natural sciences, and the good knowledge about enterprise operating management, product sale and service. Having the basic and necessary theory, fundamental knowledge and skills of mechanical, electrical engineering and electronic technology and computer application required for the field of materials science and engineering;

(3) Mastering the basic theory, professional knowledge and the related engineering technology knowledge needed in material science; knowing well the relationships among the composition, structure, properties and production process of inorganic non-metallic materials; Equipped with the basic theory, professional knowledge and basic skills required for the profession of inorganic non-metallic materials;

(4) Having the basic ability of engineering map reading and drawing, computer application and the operation of specialized experimental instruments and equipments; familiar with the policy and regulations, standards and norms of environmental protection and sustainable development in this field;

(5) Having the initial ability of the materials production, production design, product research and development, management, production sale and service in the fields of inorganic non-metallic materials; familiar with the technical standard and specifications related to the specialty of inorganic non-metallic materials;

(6) Having the comprehensive ability of using the scientific theory and technological analysis of inorganic non-metallic materials to analyze and solve practical engineering problems, capable of considering such issues as social, healthy and safety, legal, cultural and environmental factors in engineering design;

(7) Having the preliminary ability to develop and design new products, new processes and new technologies.

(8) Having good communication skills especially in speaking and writing, fluent in at least one foreign language for technical communication;

(9) Having good consciousness of teamwork and cooperation with organizational management, and having a good adaptive ability to the environment and a good competitiveness.

主干课程:无机化学、分析化学、物理化学、材料科学基础、材料工程基础、无机材料岩相学、材料研究测试方法、无机材料物理性能、无机非金属材料工艺学、粉体工程、无机非金属材料生产技术与设备

Major Courses: Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Fundamentals of Materials Science, Fundamentals of Materials Engineering, Inorganic Materials Petrographic, Materials Research and Testing Methods, Physical Properties of Materials, Technology of Inorganic Materials, Powder Engineering, Technology and Equipment of Material Production

五、学制与学位

. Duration of Program and Degree

学制:四年,按照学分制管理机制,实行三至六年弹性学习年限。

Duration:Four Years, In accordance with the credit system management mechanism, flexible learning years from three to six years,is implemented.

学位:符合《洛阳理工学院学士学位授予工作细则》规定的毕业生授予工学学士学位。

Awarded Degree: The graduate whoever meets with the provisions of ‘Bachelor’s Degree Granting Regulations of Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology’ will be conferred the Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering.
